Community Garden

This past spring and summer saw a flurry of activity as community members and a host of volunteers were hard at work transforming our very large yard. We graded the property to help protect the foundation, created safe smooth walkways to help members of our community who have mobility issues, and created several wonderful spots for coffee and conversation. We also built raised beds and planted a community garden full of great veggies. (And the salsa we made with some of them was a real hit too!)

All of this hard work was well worth it when we see the way people are using the spaces we created and none of it would have happened without people who were willing to share their time, talents, and financial resources with us. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH

In 2012 we hope to complete several more yard projects including repairing our garage and replacing our front porch with a wheelchair ramp. We also plan to plant even more veggies than last year. Check back for more details!
